Environ products may look like just another skin care range. Nothing could be further from the truth. In a world where women and men around the world are bombarded with bizarre promises about youthful looking skin, the common experience is complete disappointment and frustration. The idea behind Environ came in 1980, when the founder Dr Des Fernandes, a successful plastic and cosmetic surgeon, was deeply moved by the death of two patients from skin cancer, both women in their early twenties. Dr Fernandes became passionate about raising the quality of skin care, and began his research into high potency Vitamin A.
Environ continues to embody this passion, employing pioneering scientific research and unrelenting development. Many companies now use the same research for their own product ranges, but none have the experience, the history or … the passion.

Once Upon a Time….
The Gernétic range of skin care products began life in a hospital burns unit in Paris where French biologist, Albert Laporte, created a formula designed to assist the healing process of burns, by enhancing the skin’s immunity and ability to regenerate, for rapid healing.
The formula was also found to improve the overall health and beauty of the skin and led to the creation of an innovative, powerful range of skin care products.
20 Years of Research
This novel approach did not come to light by chance; it was the result of 20 years of scientific research into cellular therapy, biology and gerontology.
Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function and growth.
Gerontology is the study of the ageing process and in particular the changes that occur at a cellular level as we age.
Through his research, Albert Laporte found that many skin conditions such as sensitivity, inflammation or premature ageing were linked to cellular deficiencies. Due to his cellular nutritional knowledge he could establish the exact deficiencies in nutritional molecules that prevented the cells from functioning efficiently.
Since the cells have an incredible ability to regenerate themselves when given the right nutritional molecules, such as amino-acids, proteins, vitamins and trace elements, skin conditions can, therefore, be effectively and naturally improved and the visual signs of ageing delayed.
Gernétic in Australia Today
In Australia, Gernétic has another essential “raison d’être”: we Australians are perhaps subject to some of the harshest and most aggressive climate conditions in the world. That is why a skin care range that builds upon the natural shielding and protecting properties of the skin, of the epidermis layer in particular, is vital to us.
By comparison, when the epidermis is continually exfoliated, it becomes more vulnerable to the harsh effects of the sun and, unfortunately, we are all well aware of the repercussions.
Skin cancers are extremely aggressive and Australia is the country with the 4th highest ratio of skin cancers in the world.
Peeling the skin, through harsh exfoliation treatments and products, also makes it vulnerable to pollution, to dehydration and to sensitivity. It destabilizes the natural pH level that should remain between 5.5 and 6. When this occurs, bacteria on the skin thrive and develop, leading to many adverse skin conditions.
With Gernétic, exfoliation is no longer a necessity: Gernétic always maintains a healthy turnover of the epidermis cells, extending their life and preventing dead ones from building up.
However, some cases may still require exfoliation. In these circumstances Gernétic has a solution that increases the activity of the extra-corneocyte enzymes and accelerates the natural desquamation process, in a timely and safe manner, without weakening the shielding and protective barrier of the epidermis.
Gernétic is a radically non-aggressive but extremely effective solution to skin care.
We would like to point out that, because the active ingredients used in Gernétic are naturally sourced and because we think it is cruel, Gernétic skin care products are not tested on animals.
